About this tool
The About page is usually the second most visited page on a small business website and the least thought about. Most read like a company history nobody asked for: founded in, committed to excellence, passionate about quality.
The visitor is there for one reason. They are deciding whether to trust you with money, and they are looking for evidence that you are real, competent and unlikely to disappear. Names, faces, years, places and specifics do that work. Adjectives do not.
This tool writes a page built around what the reader needs to feel, using only the facts you provide. If you give it a real story, even a small one, it uses it, because a specific detail beats a paragraph of values every time.
Questions
My story is boring. Does that matter?
Ordinary reasons work well. Someone starting a bakery because they could not buy decent bread locally is more convincing than a mission statement.
Should I include photos?
Yes, real ones of real people. The page is about establishing you exist and are competent, and a stock photo works against both.
How long should an About page be?
Shorter than you think. If it does not help someone decide to trust you, it does not belong on the page.
