About this tool
Scope creep almost never starts with a dishonest client. It starts with a vague agreement, where both sides remember the conversation differently and only one of them is doing the extra work for free.
The fix is boring and effective: write down what is included, what is not included, when it is due, what it costs and when you get paid. The exclusions matter more than the inclusions, because that is the line you point at three weeks later when someone asks for one more small thing.
This tool takes your notes from the conversation and produces that document. It is a working scope you can send, not a legal contract, and it says so at the bottom.
Questions
Is this a legal contract?
No, and it says so at the bottom. It is a clear working scope that prevents most disputes. For high-value work, have a lawyer draft proper terms.
Why does it list what is NOT included?
Because that is the section that saves you. Scope creep starts with a reasonable assumption nobody wrote down.
What if I do not know my price yet?
Work it out before you send anything. A scope without a price invites the client to set one.
Can I use it for hourly work?
Yes. Put your rate and an estimated range in the price field, and the tool will frame the deliverables accordingly.
