About this tool

Chasing money you are owed is the worst part of working for yourself. Most freelancers either send nothing for weeks, or send one angry message that damages the relationship and still does not get them paid.

What works is a sequence: a short, almost apologetic nudge that assumes an oversight, then a firmer note that restates the facts, then a final message that says clearly what happens next. Each one is short. Long emails about money read as anxious, and anxious is easy to ignore.

This tool writes all three at once so you can queue them up and stop thinking about it. It does not threaten anything you have not told it you will actually do, because a threat you do not follow through on teaches the client that your deadlines are decorative.

Questions

Will it threaten legal action for me?

Only if you tell it you genuinely intend to. A threat you do not follow through on trains the client to ignore your deadlines, so the tool leaves it out by default.

How long should I wait between reminders?

Roughly a week. The tool labels each message with when to send it. Chasing daily reads as panic and rarely speeds anything up.

Should I stop working while an invoice is unpaid?

That is a judgement call the tool cannot make for you, but say so in the previous contact field and it will be reflected in the wording.

Can I use these on WhatsApp instead of email?

Yes. They are short enough. Drop the greeting line and send the body.
